General Description
Diced pears in Light Syrup is a canned food prepared from mature Bartlett pears, which are peeled, cored and cut into approximately 0.06" cubes with light syrup as the packing medium. No Sulfites added.

They are grown and packed in the Northwest - an optimum growing area which fosters a fine bouquet and color. All Del Monte pears are choice grade. Slicing dicing and halving five you three distinctly different products. The versatility of the Del Monte pear makes it popular in salads, either with vegetables or other fruits, or as a garnish. And, of course, the Del Monte pear can be served as a great snack on its own.

Serving Suggestions
• Side dish - serve with cottage cheese or mix with fruit in season.
• Dessert - excellent as an ingredient for desserts: pies, tarts, shortcake and others.
• Breakfast/Salad/Fruit Bar - rotate individually or mix with other fruits for variety.
• Adds flavor and interest to bran/corn muffins, specialty breads and other baked goods.
• Fill a half of pear with whipped cream, top it with slivered almonds, splash with liqueur and serve as a light but elegant dessert.
• Garnish entrees from ham, chicken, fish, lamb and beef with orange-glazed pear halves.
• Marinate pear halves in raspberry syrup, fruit juices, liqueurs or wines for a taste change and colorful dessert or side dish.
• Top both hot and cold cereals with diced pears for a flavor treat. add them to waffles, pancakes, crepes and French toast at breakfast.
• Create a dazzling fruit plate alternating pear slices with apple or avocado wedges, blueberries, citrus sections and kiwi slices.
